Captain Joe was easy to communicate with was flexible. Captain Joe arranged a trip for my family and showed us a great time although the fish were not biting a lot. We did catch them my teenage children and my wife all had a great time. It helped that the day was beautiful, but I think that even if it wasn’t, we would’ve had a great time I would recommend barefoot charters and captain Joe to anyone who asked thanks Captain Joe.

Our family of 6 booked a half-day charter with Captain Joe during our week at Sanibel. As soon as we completed the reservation on fishing booker, Captain Joe was calling us on the phone. He was enthusiastic and ready to go!  He made it very clear how and where to meet. We arrived a little early but he welcomed us right away. Brimming with personality and authentic Florida vibes. He knew where to take us, what to throw, and how to get the fish in the boat. And get them in we did!  We (mostly our kids) brought home plenty of fish for us to all have for dinner that night. Throughout the whole trip, Captain Joe had plenty of jokes and stories to fill up the time. He even sent us home with a recipe and his own special spice blend for cooking the fish that night. And it was DELICIOUS!  Everyone was thoroughly entertained and satisfied at the end of our trip. Our 2 boys said it was the highlight of their week. We come to Sanibel every year, and as long as Captain Joe is still taking charters out on his boat, he just might see us again!

We booked a 3-hour charter to celebrate my mother-in-law’s birthday, and it ended up being a perfect morning. It was me, my wife, my in-laws, and our two teenagers. Captain Joe was great. He was very friendly and kept all of us laughing the whole time. A fun and stress free trip. will definitely book again.

Decided to take the kids fishing while on vacation down in Sanibel and booked a charter with Captain Joe and Barefoot Charters. Prior to the trip, Joe reached out to go over expectations and trip reminders and kept in touch when the weather looked rough. The day of the trip, the weather was great and we caught some fish. We saw plenty of wildlife and had a great time. Captain Joe was very accommodating!

We have a great time with Captain Joe! He was very helpful, friendly & patient with my 3 year old who just needed to touch everything on the boat and explore. We caught a few fish, saw manatees, turtles, even spotted a dolphin while heading to another spot! My son absolutely loved it and so did we! I will definitely be booking again in the future!
