The fishing trip was the highlight of our vacation. We took the 6hr tour leaving the marina at 6:30am. Our captian was Gavin and our crew mate was “Monkey’.  He prepped all the equipment and was running around the entire time we were fishing. We were a group of 7, with kids, and this crew did an amazing job. Exceeded my expectations on all accounts. Captain Bob put us on the fish and Andrew made sure we caught them. Captain Bob can park a boat on a dime, so you’ll be in good hands. None of us got sea sick, which I attribute, in part, to his skills behind the wheel. We had a great time on our 4 hour trip. The crew was very respectful and helpful. The boat was comfortable. We even caught some fish! Only thing we would have done differently is we would have booked a 6 hour trip so we had more time to fish. It was awesome!

The boat was in great shape with air conditioning when needed. Captain Gavin dropped us right on top of great fishing! Monkey exceeded our expectations, working with the kids and keeping the bait on the hooks!

We did the 4 hour trip…had the BEST time! 5 dads and 5 kiddos all catching fish and having a great time. We caught so many fish! They cleaned them all and we took our catch to a local restaurant afterward for lunch. Captain was great finding good water and the mate kept our hooks baited and ready to go. Really great day on the water! Highly recommend Southern Star.
