The crew was super fun and inviting we caught fish for 3 hours straight. Will be booking another trip with them for my next trip.

Our fishing trip was spot-on!! The boat was ready to go when we arrived at the marina. We received our safety instruction and left out for the ocean. Captain had advised that the ocean was a bit choppy but we would make it work. He kept us moving along with the fishing, finding nice spots for us to catch the red snapper, the Spanish mackerel, bonitas, even caught a couple trigger fish. The deck hand was phenomenal running between seven fishing adults. He was so friendly and knowledgeable about the different species of fish. He explained all the seasonal regulations around the fish we were catching. We learned a whole lot from our experience from him. We caught many fish, we threw back a lot too! We were joined momentarily by a couple dolphins who wanted to play. All in all, a great experience. If you have any type of motion sickness, take Dramamine before you go. My 7 year old grandson did not fare well but that has nothing to do with the crew or the boat. We had a great time and highly recommend Southern Star Outfitters to anyone looking for a good fishing experience.
