Rough seas means tougher Snapper fishing in my opinion. Harder to stay on fish, very hard to stay stable and crank the short handle reels while keeping rod off gunnel, etc. 20 limit and 10 keepers at legal size was disappointing as we had more throw backs than I cared to have but after blackening them and serving up fresh there was plenty and even had some leftovers! Had one in our group get sick before we got to first fishing spot and since he didnโt touch a pole the Capt. at the end of the trip didnโt charge for him which I thought was good of the Capt. Thatโs good business in my opinion.

Iโm just glad you werenโt over critical in your review. On a completely different note, Fishing Booker should allow captains to review customers.
Water was a little rough today but still had a great time and caught tons of fish.
Trip was better than expected, Captain and deckhand went above and beyond to ensure we were able to catch our limit!! The boat was very nice and well equipped, I definitely recommend Southern Star Outfitters!!! 5 stars all the way!
Had a great time! Would definitely book again.
Cool crew. Perfect weather and overall a great time!
