When I first touched base with Captain Justin (the night before our scheduled 3 Hour In-Shore trip) he told me that that days In-Shore charter had been a bust and not gotten any bites! So I asked where we had the best chance of my kids being able to catch fish? He said generally in the Gulf and that we could go either place to just let him know. At that time nothing was said about a longer trip or anymore of a charge (I guess I should have asked, but I assumed that he would be up front with us)! So we met up the next morning at the dock. After catching some bait we got on our way. We got out to the gulf then spent another half hour or so catching more bait fish. We finally started out! After driving and stopping and driving and stopping we finally got to get our lines in the water. We were getting bites but none of us could get anything pulled in, let alone see what was biting. So we we’re on our way again! Long story short we did FINALLY get on some Red Snapper and managed to get 6 keepers. When everything was done we ended up spending 6 hours out on the water, which out of that time we had our rods in the water “MAYBE” an hour total! Captain Justin was a nice guy and did seem like he knew what he was doing, but in the end I just felt as though the extra time/cost should have been disclosed ahead of time and not at the end of the trip! I guess double the cost wouldn’t have had such a sting if we had at least caught our limit or maybe even a variety of fish. Maybe my expectations were to high??

Justin was very nice and polite. He was very knowledgeable but we barely caught any fish and I was under the impression it was a deep sea fishing excursion. Pretty disappointed in it. Especially for what it cost. But I had a good time w my boys.
