Captain Justin knows the best spots. Good day fishing for Red Snapper.  Beautiful weather helped. 23’ boat small for 6 fishers.

Booked a half day 1-5 pm inland trip 8days prior to trip date.  Received message from Fishing Booker asking to adjust time to 3-7 pm, which I agreed to do.  Called Justin to confirm, get trip details, talk about what we wanted to catch, where to meet etc.  that was 8 days prior to trip.  Had to leave a voice message.  Called again every day between June 30 and the day of the trip only to get a voice -mailbox is full message and unable to leave any additional messages.  Finally was able to leave a message on the morning of the trip.  He called back at noon.  This was the first time I had heard from him.  He said he could be ready at 1 but Fishing Booker changes the time on him.  We agreed to meet at the dock st 2:30.  He was going to arrive early to catch bait fish.  He arrived at 3:05 and still had no live bait.  After catching some bait, we left the dock at 3:40.  Fishing was slow   We ended up catching five fish between the four of us but only one keeper.  The picture above is one we released because it was too small.  He did extend our time to try to catch fish and we stayed out until 9:30pm.  After returning to to dock about ten, he cleaned our one fish and we said goodby.  Next time I will book a gulf trip and specifically ask to catch some snapper.  This was a lot of money for a boat ride, seeing some dolphins, and bringing home one fish.

The boat was in good shape, fishing poles were a little worn. The guide did seem hurried in running to several places instead of spending a little more time at each place. He seemed knowledgable and experienced. Will likely go out to deeper water next time.

Seemed very inexperienced.  It is a lot of money for such little fishing time.
