Wife and I went on a 4 hr trip with him on 9/20/24 at Lake Toho and caught a lot of bass. It was our first time fishing for Bass and we had a great time! He explained a lot of things to us as we were beginners and very patient. He also suggested 4hrs instead of 6hrs as the fish usually are not as active in mid afternoon thus saving us time and money from just sitting around staring at each other for the last two hours! You can tell he’s very passionate about his job and loves to make his clients happy. Totally recommend an anglers trip with him. We will definitely come back and use his services again! We booked an eight hour trip and only needed five. Our Captain, Gains was wonderful for the whole trip. Put us on bass at our first stop. In which we proceeded to catch about thirty bass, an alligator gar, long nose gar and a needle fish. We ran out of live shiners so he set us up with soft plastics and we produced six more bass one being over five pounds. He was quick with the net and had us baited back up to be quickly fishing again. I would highly suggest listening to the captain’s recommendations for amount of live bait to purchase. While a little pricey it’s worth it for the quality of fish. We went through four dozen in about three hours. Highly recommend this captain. Make sure he has little Debbie’s honey buns.
