Captain Brent is a great teacher—I am an old dog, and he quickly taught me some new tricks. He’s got techniques that work. We slammed decent bass on both shiners and artificials, despite high pressure and far more wind than was predicted. His 21’ Ranger with spot lock and a couple Power Poles was rock steady despite a constant 15+ MPH wind. The gear is quality. Tuned baitcasters and nice rods that made sport of smaller fish, but still permitted us to winch a couple bigger ones out of the grass. Brent is a family man and a great conversationalist, with a superb sense of humor. Not a cuss word all day, even when we lost a monster—easily 10, probably bigger—at boatside. Brent knows Toho and has a couple other lakes is his repertoire, which I fully intend to visit with his help on my next trip to central Florida.

After booking this trip back in January, my hopes were for a 20-30 bass, some 4-5 lbs and hopefully a 7to8. Well I didn’t catch 30 fish, but My best 5 approached 35 # including a 9lb 7oz beauty. A friend asked if it fought and I told him it felt like setting the hook on a brick wall. I was reluctant to use bait, but at this time I’m a believer. Kip was prepared and lost no time having tackle ready to use at all times. Lots of great conversation and fishing stories. Be prepared to go out early 6:15, first few hours often the best my biggest (and first) fish was caught before 7, I believe. Be prepared to pay a premium for live Golden Shiners upwards of $25 a dozen, but will give you the best chance for really big bass. AJs will make every effort to make you a great day. As Kip said when I got to the landing “I’m going to work your tail off catching fish”. I have booked another trip for the end of the month with my twin grandsons, who are very excited.

Capt AJ IV is a great guide. Put us on the fish on the first spot. Within 10 minutes we had landed the first fish. It was a great day for us, landing 16 bass. She got the biggest at 5lbs 10 ozs and the smallest at maybe 1.5 lbs. Average weight was 3-4 lbs. AJ was knowledgeable, professional, very personable and a delight to interact with all day. We will be scheduling another trip with the grandson, with Capt AJ IV as our guide.
Captain Tyler was great! Lead us straight to catch bass within 10-15minutes. Very knowledgeable and patient with a few new rookie bass fishermen/women. Continously put shiners on our fishing poles for non stop action. My daughter 13yrs old caught her first bass. My son,11yrs, landed a couple of 3-4 lb bass. My wife caught her first bass too. I caught a 5lb plus bass. Best bass fishing, definitely recommend.
Been fishing for 50 years this was the best Bass Fishing I have every seen. Great Captain!!!!!! *5 quality Bass in 3 6 hour trips. Kids had a feild day and never got bored. I am use to fishing all day for a few quality bass. This was not fishing but catching nonstop. One morning we had 24 in the boat in the first hour of fishing all 2 to 5.9 lbs. Missed a big one at the boat 10 lb. I will be back ASAP.
