Great guy, firefighter by trade. Very caring that everyone on the boat is feeling well.
Captain was great to be around, had a great time being out on the water just didn’t catch anything do to weather.
Cecil we will try it again next yeat very rough that day fishing is hard after a nig storm. Thank you.
Admittingly it wasn’t the best day to fish since the weather was nice but the gulf was a bit choppy. However, Captain Johns boat was a lot smaller than we thought and as we proceeded out into the Gulf the boat was slamming the water so hard it almost threw us out. At one point the boat actually came out of the water and slammed so hard we all went flying out of our seats. My son in law hurt his tailbone and was in pain the next day. In addition to this, his trolling motor was not working and every time we came to one of his fishing spots he could not keep the boat over the area because the waves kept pushing us out. He had no crew, so he had to rebate our hooks and in doing so he had no control of the boat. There was no head aboard so if you had to go to the restroom you had to go to the stern of the boat and do your business in the water. This was supposed to be a good experience for my great grandchildren and my grandson and turned into a disaster We only caught one fish in five hours that was deemed good enough to keep. The Captain kept telling us that his trolling motor did not work and his partner had screwed up the electrical system on the boat. I really did not want to hear that since we paid him for a fishing charter he should have been better prepared. As far as we were concerned the $820.00 we spent for the trip was a real ripoff. My Great Grandchildren were so excited to fish in deepwater and now I don’t think they care to ever go again. As far as I am concerned he should have returned our money and apologized for the trip.
