I booked this trip a couple weeks in advance, only to be confronted with the possibility of Hurricane Michael ruining the whole trip. Well, luck was on our side, as the hurricane passed by on Thursday night, and by Saturday morning, the seas were beautiful.ย I had hoped to get into some wahoo - and Capt. Mark spent the day trolling the 100 fathom line in search of the elusive stripes, but to no avail. Our catch consisted largely of Blackfin Tuna and one good size Yellowfin. Captain Mark and Mate Chip were both very personable and everyone on board had an awesome day.ย We saw some giant Manta Rays and a good size Sunfish out on the seas, and were all amazed at our good fortune with the weather so soon after a major storm.ย We enjoyed some awesome fresh sashimi, and multiple tuna meals (with more to come), and would happily do this trip again.

Captain Mark was spot on when he said we could troll for the 6 hours I chartered or go extra 10 miles and for sure catch tilefish and maybe Sea Bass by bottom fishing.ย I had my whole family with me and did not want to disappoint them (although it is called fishing for a reason).ย So we paid the extra small charge for fuel and Captain Mark and First Mate Chip were spot on!ย Got tilefish limit in no time.ย Even had 1 hr to troll and no bites doing that.
I will definitely look up Captain Mark again but go for the day to get to the big fish!ย See you in 2 years Captain Mark.ย Thanks for everything.ย You guys were hilarious once we got to the honey hole!
