We met Captain John at the dock and were greeted with drinks and food and a well prepared boat.  We were told he had fished for Bait that morning ensuring us the best possible chance to catch big fish. We started our morning trolling for wahoo and dolphin. We were pleasantly surprised when we hooked up to a 40 pound dolphin within the first hour. We trolled for another two hours producing one nice wahoo and a few other small dolphin. My kids wanted to fish the bottom for grouper or snapper. His crew began to chum for about an hour and before you knew it we had a ball of yellow tail at the back of the boat. It wasn’t long before we hooked into a nice grouper and my son was in for the fight of his life. As the crew cheered him on Captain John came down from the helm and showed my son exactly what needed to be done to land this fish.  Once the fish was aboard we were told of a nearby restaurant that would cook the fish for us. Captain john and crew are not also great fisherman but knowledgeable of the area and fun activities for our family to do. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone and look forward to fishing again with Captain John.

Captain tried his best really IDK what he could have done better except he could have had a few words of English on board somebody. .. sit and wait for a reel to go I did catch 5 tuna we boat around and around the same area for three hours the rollers 6-8 foot swells and I got sick. Once I picked I felt better but had no way to comunícate if we were going to continue the round and round I was tired and bored . It’s the chance you take when you fish in a different country I guess
I was offered night fishing and got no response from captain John when I texted back but he did not respond yet   This is a review of my experience not of the business

I booked a trip with captain John and his partner Trevor for New Year’s Eve. We set out from Cartagena and within three hours I had a 30 pound tuna on deck. Was a great experience would recommend.

Fishing with Capt john was so much fun. I went fishing with my brother and three other girlfriends, i couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The crew was so welcoming and they made us all feel safe. The capt was very persistent to make sure we were catching fish. It was a slow start but by the end of the day the coolers were full. We cought three mahi, 8 snappers and we also caught tuna!! I highly recommend this company. We had such a good time with cartagenafishing. See you next year(:

Day was a little slow as we didn’t land anything very big. We landed a barracuda and a small shark. Still had a great time.
