I would highly recommend Devlin and the Poacher. We did a half day AM trip and had a great time catching ribbon fish. The first mate (Nick) was great with our teenage niece, he showed her lots of different things and allowed her to help a lot with things other than just reeling in a fish. Both Devlin and Nick were knowledgeable and tried different techniques to get different fish. Sadly, not much was biting, but that’s what happens sometimes. It was a great morning!

We were very impressed with these guys. The fishing started slow but they worked hard and found them. Next thing we know, we were catching 2-3 at a time. We kept a few and released the rest. These guys put in the hard work and got the fish into the boat on what could have been a slow day. Highly recommended!

Captain Devin and Ross took good care of us. My daughters had a great time. Early on the wreck with triggerfish and sea bass hooking up almost immediately, then worked our way back trolling for mackerel. The girls got to hand line in the mackerel which they loved and Captain Devin took us right through them almost all the way back. Oh and bonus- got our fill of porpoise swimming all over. Perfect half day! The Poacher was comfortable- you can sit inside or out- with a header and places to put snacks and bags. Captain Devin put us on fish right away- we all caught fish and had enough sea bass to eat for dinner the next night- and it was delicious! Al caught a redfish which was the best part of the trip for him- we were able to eat that as well! Then we caught and released some sharks. Really good day!
