Really knowing very little about ocean fishing, I was very impressed with Captain Keithโs management of our 1/2 day salmon fishing experience. He and his boat were โthe real dealโ, giving our grandsons a realistic introduction to the ruggedness of living and working in Alaska. Captain Keith made sure we were comfortable and warm while the weather outside was drizzly and gloomy, and took us out to where the boys had the invigorating and exciting experience of pulling in some delicious salmon. Back at the dock, Captain Keith showed us how to clean and fillet our catch. An experience we will always remember, our steak and burger boys are now hooked on fresh salmon!!

Thanks for the review and Iโm glad you guys enjoyed the day
Glad you liked the trip . About the deck hand Very few six passenger boats in AK use a deck hand this is for various reasons one is because the profit margins on a small charter boat are not good enough to cover a deck hand . Two unless a deck wants to work and really know what they are doing they just get in the way . If you want a deck hand you need to get on one of the larger boat carrying 10 to 20 people.
Captain did not provide water or anything to drink.ย Read carefully what you get and what you will be fishing for.ย Was not a multi species ttip
Sorry you didnโt have a good day and you are correct you should read things thoroughly when you buy something if you had you would have read the part where it says coffee is provided and to bring what ever you want to eat and drink. I donโt remember off hand but Iโm pretty sure it says halibut and salmon or rock fish and I think thatโs what we did halibut and salmon looks like multi species to me
Came to the dock was informed a huge storm was forecasted and we would be stuck in the bay. Captain Kieth was kind enough to keep going based on seeing good weather. We limited out on reasonably good sized halibut which were biting all day at the captains secret cove. Highly recommend captain kieth for his experience, his helpful demeanor and his willingness to make sure that we caught what we came for.
Thanks for the review guys good luck on the river and enjoy that halibut when you get home.
