Took a trip with my 12 year old and was a blast,  Noel was our guide and he made it a fun and relaxing trip.  Knew all the best spots and was very informative.  I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone especially people with kids and those that get sea sick.  You stay a lagoon so the water is generally very calm. Jose was outstanding. He showed us tips and techniques that worked best for that area and the type of fish we were fishing for. He was friendly and helpful. I brought two 17 year old boys on the trip and they had a great time. They caught a large variety of fish. It was a fun afternoon and we would definitely book with Cancun Light Tackle & Fly Fishing Tours again.

Spent a very enjoyable day in the company of Noel the guide from cancun light tackle and fly fishing tours. Started by targeting tarpon on the fly we found the fish and got plenty of takes sadly I’m not the best fly angler so didn’t convert most of them but I did land a small but perfectly formed tarpon…my first one so very pleased. Fishing was good. Windy day. We caught a couple. Our guide, Jose was excellent! He helped us anytime we needed help with anything. Martin was great to book with and worked with us when we needed to switch dates a day before our original booking (there was an opening, no extra fee to switch days). We would book with this crew again.

Had a great time with Mua.  Usually, you only get 1 or 2 chances at a tarpon, He hooked me into 6.  I’ve caught steelhead, salmon, sailfish, cuda and more of the biggest gamefish in the world but have realized tarpon are definitely the hardest to land. I’ve learned no fish in the world can shake their jaw faster than a tarpon to spit the hook.  Next visit with Mua I’ll make sure to bring a fly with 4 treble hooks attached to it.
