Cancun Light Tackle & Fly Fishing Tours
Cancun Light Tackle & Fly Fishing Tours operates trips of a variety of lengths among the secluded waters of the Nichupte Lagoon. Conveniently located right in the Cancun Hotel Zone, the area is filled with a huge variety of table and game species that are just waiting to be caught. It is also perfect for children and those suffering from seasickness, as the waters are calm and sheltered.
During your trip you can learn all about handling the fly and spinning gear you will be using. Spinning gear is perfect for children to learn on, while the vast selection of fly fishing favorites makes this a great location for even the most seasoned angler. Target Permit, Tarpon, Bonefish, Snook, and Ladyfish in the shallows, or head to deeper waters to fish for big Jack Crevalle, Barracudas, Snappers, and more.
The vessel you will be fishing aboard is a 17’ Maverick HPX flats boat. She was built in 2016 and is the ideal fishing platform for these calm, shallow waters. The vessel can carry two adult guests and can cruise at an impressive 25 knots.
You will be supplied with quality fly and spinning tackle, and a selection of lifelike lures and flies to attract the wide range of target species. Your captain will teach you all about how to handle the equipment and the fish and will make sure everyone on board gets a chance of some great catches, whatever your age or skill level. There’s an additional dock fee of US$10 per person.
