Captain Gerald was very knowledgeable about the local water and came prepared.ย My groups target goal was to catch rooster fish however was unable to accomplish that goal because rooster fishing had been slow.ย Captain Gerald did make every attempt to hit that goal.ย He battled extremely windy conditions which prevented us from Captain Geralds targeted spots for Rooster fishing. The captain kept us busy with that attempt by catching other fish such as, snapper, grouper, tuna, jacks, and other varieties which totaled over 30 different fish for the day.ย All in all a great charter.

We are in the windy season now but the ocean is coming up trumps with so many different types of fish being caught. You will just have to come back again to try for that rooster fish! Fishing Capullo Sportfishing was a great experience.ย Louise (owner) was very helpful and even met us at the beach before our trip.ย Our guide Gerald was outstanding in make out trip a success.ย He worked consistently from start to finish on our trip.ย He is excellent in targeting Roosterfish, which we did catch.ย I highly recomment Capullo Sportfishing.

We were met with heavy winds and a full moon, making for tough conditions. Captain Gerald put on a strong effort to find fish, while remaining kind and friendly. We ended up going 2 for 5 on a half day trip.

I have fished offshore many times and I can not stand it when you go on a charter and they hand you a pole when the fish is already on.ย This IS NOT how Gerald treated us.ย When the pole started screaming he just looks at you and expects you to pick up the reel.ย This is actual fishing and not just reeling.ย He also took the time to teach my 12 year old son how to jig on the bottom and be succesful.ย Great trip.ย Highly recommend.
