While we hit a slow day, we still caught a few to bring home for a mess. Totally not Sam’s fault, the fish just weren’t cooperating. Was a fun day just the same. Sam was very personable, has clean boat with easy access. Would recommend.
I booked this 2 hour fishing trip for my son and family. Captain Sam Bell contacted me right away to go over the trip details. Captain Sam is a great teacher, guide, and has great communication skills. The boat ride was very calm and enjoyable. My son enjoyed fishing off the boat. He also liked the stop at island. We caught 2 fish and 2 hermit crabs. I would definitely recommend Captain Sam and this trip if you are just wanting to try out fishing in the sea.
Captain Sam was great! He put us on bluefish right away and caught a couple dozen in about an hour. We then motored around the sound looking for Red Drum but no luck. That’s fishing! We did see a sea turtle which was pretty cool. We had a great morning trip overall. I would highly recommend Captain Sam for anyone looking to do a fishing trip out of Avon, NC.
Captain Sam was so great! He even rescheduled our charter when the weather was rainy and too windy on our original scheduled day. We caught a large sized Blue fish and a large Red drum fish! Sam is very knowledgeable about the area and was motivated to ensure we had a successful adventure!
