Last minute, booked an afternoon family fishing trip and it turned out awesome. We all caught a bunch of sea bass and a few sheepshead. The vessel is well-kept and perfectly comfortable for our family of 5. We brought sunscreen, a cooler bag with drinks and snacks, and appropriately-sized life jackets for our three kids. The captain and mate seemed very knowledgeable about the area and the potential for what could be caught during our trip. I’d recommend booking with this team again!

Was scheduled to a 3/4 day trip for 8 hours.Captain Sam called Wednesday night and said the seas were 6 ft and was going to need to cancel. Was offered our deposit back since the weather was the reason for cancellation. Capt Sam and his mate, Rilley, went out of their way to bring the fish. We only did a half day and they put us on 25 fish to take home. We caught blues and mackerels. I had different expectations being from FL, but Capt Sam knew that the waters here are required to go much further out here in NC. Captain Sam was awesome and made our family’s first charter fishing experience fantastic. Everyone one of us caught a fish!  Would definitely recommend booking a 4hr nearshore trip with Captain Sam. Next time we may go for the offshore all day adventure. We had a mix of brand new and experienced fisherman in our group and Captain Sam was great with our different levels.

We did an all day trip to the Gulfstream with Captain Sam and Riley the first mate. Captain Sam was great, entertaining and very informative. Riley knew exactly what to do and was was great at hooking the fish. He worked extremely hard so that we could have a great experience. We caught several fish including a sailfish. Great fun. I highly recommend the Boat and Captain Sam. It was a great time and when we go to the stream again, we will book it through Captain Sam Rick.
