  It was a great day fishing!

  4 Hour Trip – Inshore/Nearshore on September 15, 2026 • 2 adults

  My Brother and I finally planned a long talked about fishing week in Pensacola. We read the reviews on several and selected It’s A Good Day charter based on the reviews and the types of trips that was offered. Captain Bill was there preparing his beautiful boat when we arrived, and we got there early. He welcomed us on board and for the next 4 hours treated us like we were old friends. He kept us entertained on the way out with stories about himself and the area. Coached us on how to catch the fish he put us on. And made the entire experience so pleasurable. Both my Brother and I are avid fishermen from different parts of the country but we learned a lot with Captain Bill. I know the name of the charter is ‘It’s A Good Day’, but for us it was a Great day! Book with Captain Bill, you won’t be disappointed. PS, we caught a lot of fish!

  Bill consistently put us on large fish and numbers. I thought I was an east Texas bass fisherman that knew everything, I was wrong, Bill is the one who knows everything. Incredible watching and learning from his pattern recognition. He moves when you need to, and stays when you should. Big fish, numbers, experience, and a guide you can spend all day with and have an incredible trip. Could not have asked for a better outing. The multifaceted knowledge is far superior than a company that owns 4 boats and hires only ‘decent’ captains (experience and time on the water speaks for itself). I hope whoever sees this review books the trip with Captain Bill, there is not a better option.

  You could say this….We booked this trip as a Mother’s Day gift for our Mom. There were four of us in all. None of us have been on a fishing trip like this and it turned out to be the highlight of our vacation. Captain Bill was entertaining and knowledgeable. He helped the beginners just enough to make the trip a learning experience as well as an adventure. My sister and mom caught several vermilion snapper while my cousin and I reeled in snd released a 35 lb amberjack which was way harder than we expected but a great experience. Highly recommend booking with Captain Bill…you will be really glad you did!

  Great family fishing adventure

  Our family recently had the pleasure of embarking on a deep sea fishing adventure with Captain Bill. As parents of three teens, we began the day not knowing what to expect but then ending the day with a boatload of memories, sage fishing wisdom, and a surprisingly large catch of fish that we got to take home and eat. From curing seasickness, to helping us finally catch the “one the kept getting away”, Captain Bill was the ideal guide. His patience, humor, and kindness, was exactly what our family needed to put us at ease on the high seas.

  Bill Rocks!

  5 Hour Trip – Nearshore/Offshore on June 30, 2026 • 6 adults • 2 children

  We had the absolute best time with Bill! He is so knowledgeable and helpful! He was so kind and great with our kids! This was their first experience and he made it a great one! Unfortunately the waters weren’t in the best conditions for fishing thanks to the recent hurricane but he still made it fun and we still had some great catches! I will always recommend Bill and cant wait to go back out again!
