2 HR "Back Bay" Intro To Fishing3 adults

I recently took my two daughters on their very first fishing trip in Ocean City, MD, and it was an experience we’ll never forget! We went out with Captain Tony, and even though the fishing conditions weren’t ideal that day, he made the entire trip enjoyable, educational, and fun for all of us. Captain Tony was patient, friendly, and great with the kids—he took the time to teach them how to cast and reel in, and his passion for being on the water really showed. Despite the less-than-perfect conditions, we managed to catch three flounder, and one of them was a keeper! You should’ve seen the excitement on my daughters’ faces—it was priceless. It was more than just a fishing trip; it was quality family time with some exciting catches along the way. Highly recommend booking a trip with Captain Tony if you’re in Ocean City—especially if you’re bringing kids or looking for a first-time fishing adventure. We’ll definitely be back for another trip!

    Made the best of a rainy/windy day!

    Mid Morning 3 Hour Back Bay Trip • 4 adults • 2 children

    Weather took a turn (which we were prepared for) but Captain still reached out to us prior to arrival to make sure we were aware and ok with it (since we had two kids)and was upfront about conditions , which I’m always thankful for upfront honesty. We still made out great! Tried multiple fishing spots, even though there were no keepers, he knew exactly where to go so the kids could catch things and see things. We caught flounders, bass, stingrays and saw sharks too. Took a cruise to look for ponies , where we saw one of the herds and overall had a great few hours just being out on the water. Will be booking another trip☺️

    Thanks for booking with Saltwater Adventures. I hope the kids liked the t-shirts. I'm sorry the weather and water conditions weren't ideal for your trip. At least you knew what to expect before we left the dock. I try to be as honest as I can with all of my customers. I have been doing this a long time and understand the conditions and factors that need to be present to have a successful trip. Yes there is always a chance to "trip across" a keeper or two on days like this, but the odds were definitely against us. In the old days (pre- booking platforms & online reviews), I would have canceled the trip and told you we should wait for a better day. My reputation as a captain is more important than a few hundred dollars. In this new era, we are almost forced to take people out even when we know the chances for success are diminished. If we don't, another captain will. Either way, we get penalized in our online ranking. Thanks again and I look forward to our next trip. We will make sure to pick the right day.

    AM 3 Hour Back Bay Morning Trip • 4 adults

    🎣 Great Day on the Water with Saltwater Adventures! Had an awesome trip with Saltwater Adventures today. There were four of us on the boat, and every one of us caught at least fou fish with a nice variety of species throughout the trip. Flounder were definitely the go-to, and our captain did a fantastic job of moving us around and consistently putting us in locations where the fish were biting. That makes all the difference on a charter. Instead of spending the day hoping to find fish, we stayed on them and kept catching. Great fishing, great company, and a captain who clearly knows the local waters.     Great trip

    AM 3 Hour Back Bay Morning Trip • 2 adults

    Fun trip with a knowledgeable captain. Excellent communication. Worked with us on a trip due to impending bad weather on the day we had planned. Changed to a 3 hour bay trip which he extended so it ended being closer to 5 and caught some flounder. He was working his network of captains to get us on fish the whole time. He got us on fish when nobody else was. We will be scheduling with him again.

    Awesome day on the water with Capt. Tony!

    AM 3 Hour Back Bay Morning Trip • 2 adults

    The conditions were not all optimal, very windy and working against the tide but Capt. was diligent in trying new things until we got on the fish. We caught a variety of species and came home with 2 nice keeper flounder. Boat was extremely comfortable and Capt. was super accommodating. Appreciated all the hard work to get us some tight lines. We will be fishing with Capt. Tony again.

    Great Day in the Bay

    Sunset Fishing Adventure • 2 adults

    Captain Tony made all the right moves to put us on fish in less than ideal conditions. His knowledge of the local waters helped overcome post torrential rain, which muddied up the waters, which landed my son his PB flounder. Put a 25 3/4” 6 and a half pounder in the boat! These guys were great and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great day on the water.

    Hey Michael, I'm glad you enjoyed your time with us. Mother Nature made us work extra hard for that one. I knew we would have a chance if that water cleaned up a little and cooled down at the end of the incoming tide. That fish was our heaviest of the season. We had one a little longer, but it weighed a little less. Awesome fish, congrats. I hope the memories last a lifetime or till he catches one bigger.
