We had an unforgettable morning fishing on Lake Erie with Captain Rob. Our trip was scheduled to start at 6 a.m., but with thunderstorms in the forecast, Captain Rob wisely suggested waiting to see how the weather developed and whether any lightning was reported. We finally headed out around 7 a.m. under cloudy skies and into some of the biggest waves I have ever seen on a lake!
Despite the challenging conditions, our family of four had an amazing catch — six beautiful walleyes each! Captain Rob was experienced, patient, extremely well prepared, and provided everything we needed. I have fished before and, under normal conditions, would have been fine without much help. But with those waves, Captain Rob’s experience and constant support made all the difference. Thanks to him, what could have been a very difficult day turned into an unforgettable family experience.
At the end of the trip, he filleted all our fish and carefully packed everything in zip bags for us to take home.
Great captain, great fishing, and a Lake Erie adventure our family will remember for a long time.
