Good trip
Nathan took us out, and I believe he was the owner’s son. He was very personable and made sure we were well taken care of. Our group of six booked for three hours, and while the travel time cut fishing down to about 2.5 hours, Nathan generously gave us a little extra time on the water. We landed 8 fish and hooked a few more that got away. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to include fish cleaning in the package—even at a slightly higher price. Many other guides offer this, and as a customer it’s a nice touch that makes the experience feel complete. The one real downside had nothing to do with the charter but with the restaurant recommended to cook our catch. Unfortunately, the apps were terrible, and while the fish dishes looked good, the taste was disappointing—we left about 75% of our food behind. My wife and I own a successful bar & grill and eat out daily, so we know good food, and that place just missed the mark. I’d recommend steering future customers elsewhere. All in all, it was a fun trip with trout being the catch of the day—no black drum or reds this time around. Nathan was great, and with just a few tweaks, the experience would be top-notch
