No fishing here....

Fishing Trip 8 Hours2 adults

A complete waste of $1,000. Captain/crew were very substandard, as was the boat. Never made it out to the deep water. We could catch the same fish from the dock.

Response from Charter operator

Mr Denny, I do apologize for the action of the Captain not following protocol when there is a mechanical. Your review fails to mention that for the 2 day fishing trip you booked 1 day was completed though no fish that day. I also gave you a full refund of $1,600.00 for both days. Our company has had a 4.8 out of 5 review rating for 2024 & 2025 Jacques Beaudoin Charter Organizer

Caught the biggest fish of our lives!

    Fishing Trip 8 Hours • 4 adults

We had a great time on La Sancha with Captain Ramon and his deck hand. We went out on a 7 hour trip and even though we only caught a few fish, one of them was a 250 pound Blue Marlin, that made the whole trip worth it! It was so much meat, we left it with the Captain to split with his deckhand and his family. The boat was also very comfortable and roomy so we enjoyed just crusing around and trolling for big catch!

    Reported Catch
    Dolphin (Mahi Mahi)
    Blue Marlin

Thank you so much for the review! We had an incredible time hosting your family. It was a thrill to help you hook into that beautiful striped marlin and wahoo, and that epic battle with the shark was certainly a highlight of the morning! We’re so glad you had a successful day on the water and appreciate the recommendation. Hope to see you back on board soon.

    Surprise Catch!

    Fishing Trip 8 Hours • 2 adults

Weather was beautiful, cool breeze and right temp. We would be just as contented if we just had a boat ride and no fish BUT we did catch 3 fish! Mahi Mahi, wahoo, & a shark!! The last one was a surprise as we were angling for a tuna. Baby shark was let go after a huge struggle to reel it in. Great time!

    Dolphin (Mahi Mahi)

No bad days when you’re fishing!

    Fishing Trip 8 Hours • 6 adults

Fishing was decent. The captain tried his best to put us on fish. We trolled on the way to Gordo Banks and caught a Mahi Mahi. We tried for a bit to catch tuna but it was too hot sitting in the sun. We trolled some more to try for more Mahi Mahi or wahoo. We hooked into a marlin but it got off by the boat. We also caught a silky shark. All in all, it was a good trip. The captain and mate were very friendly, informative, and helpful.

Had a Great Day with Ramon

    Fishing Trip 8 Hours • 2 adults

Very good charter today. I have fished out of the San Jose marina many times and I think this was the best experience I’ve had. Ramon and his brother worked very hard and we caught both big tuna and Mahi Mahi. When they say the price includes everything, this is correct. You would normally spend over $100 for licenses, bait, lunch and processing. This was all included. Plan on booking them again next year.

    Reported Catch
    Dolphin (Mahi Mahi)
    Yellowfin Tuna
