I’m so thirsty
Went out for a pm 4 hour trip. Told the captain that i was not interested in trolling and only wanted to bottom fish. He insisted there were tuna offshore, so we tried for 45 minutes but no tuna. We then went inshore to some structure and started bottom fishing, the bite was actually good. We caught a bunch of trigger fish, some grouper and snapper. After an hour I asked for a bottle of water, the captain points to the jug he has been drinking from. When its 90degrees in Mexico you have to drink water. I consider myself pretty thick skinned, but WTF. The review on fishing booker said they provide water which technically they did but I expected my own water.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re very sorry about the confusion regarding the drinking water. At Daliken Sportfishing, we always include bottled water and ice on every trip, we would never expect a guest to drink from the captain’s personal supply. In this case, there was clearly a misunderstanding, as the captain thought you were asking where the water was stored and pointed to the main jug where the bottles are kept cold. We completely understand how this could have been interpreted differently, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention. Regarding the fishing, the reason the captain suggested trying offshore first is because tuna had been showing up during that week and many guests were requesting them. We’re glad to hear that once you switched to bottom fishing, you had good action and caught several species. Your comments have already been reviewed with our team to ensure clearer communication moving forward, especially on short afternoon trips where every minute is important. We truly appreciate your feedback and hope you’ll give us another opportunity to show you the full, professional experience Daliken Sportfishing is known for.
