Booked with Tiger Shark and Captain Raphael. I arrived in the morning for him waiting for me at the boat and we were off! This boat rips through water like a hot knife through butter! About am hour into the trip we bumped into some Sailfish feeding, but were unable to get their interest. Undeterred Raphael was determined to find fish and myself and him kept scanning the water for any activity. Well a couple hours later the water exploded and a fish was on, with reel screaming. About a 30min fight later I landed in what Captain Raphael said in broken English "Trophy Sailfish". Got the fish into the boat, and he quickly went to work and started setting up fresh bait.
About an our later, BAM!!! Reel screaming on one of the outer rod setups. This fish was not happy, the acrobatics were amazing to watch. Another 20-25min fighter later, fish #2 was onboard, this one another Trophy size and a tiny bit smaller than the first one.
This was my first time ever being on the ocean. I'm from Winnipeg, MB. Canada right in the middle of the country and have only seen the ocean. I realize I was very lucky that day with not only catching 1, but 2 Trophy sized Sailfish.
