Captain JP is Great

Although I didn't catch my first Tarpon yet, fishing with Captain JP was amazing. JP worked extremely hard in very rough conditions to try and find some cooperative fish. He fished overtime for me at no additional cost and was extremely knowledgeable about Florida's entire ecosystem. I'm hoping to get back next year and if I do I will certainly book Captain JP again. He is a great guide and a gentleman and went above and beyond my expectations of what most guides are willing to do for their clients.

    Fantastic trip for my wife and I

    Half Day Trip - 2:30 PM • 2 adults

    Captain was awesome! very windy conditions but he kept us in action all afternoon. Tarpon we’re uncooperative but thats fishing! Highlight of late afternoon epic battle with massive sawfish and we had to call that one a draw as that fish was just not giving up and it had to end sometime so it was time to tighten drag, snap off and let her on her way! not to mention our time was way up, but John Paul never mentioned the time had expired. Thanks John, Kevin & Michelle

    2 Hour – Eco Tour Fish Fun • 2 adults • 1 child

    My 12 year old daughter and I went on a 2 hour inland trip with Jon-Paul. He was knowledable about the area, fish and other native wildlife. This combined with his friendly personality and fishing know how, maden it a great first ocean fishing trip for my daughter. She caught several different types if fish, including a hog fish. We had a great time and would recommend Jon-Paul to anyone who may want to fish in the Islamorada area.

    AS GREAT AS IT GETS!

    I have done 20+ charters in the keys and this was without a doubt one of the very best. Booked a very last minute trip with my 8 year old son. Jon was super flexible on timing to accommodate us. We booked a 2 hour trip that turned into a 6 hour trip. Both my son and I had an incredible time. Jon is also a biologist and knows a TON about the ecosystem which is very cool. the boat is in excellent condition and unlike too many other charters he uses great tackle. Twin power reels, St Croix rods, etc. We caught mangrove snapper, jacks, and missed our shot at a few snook (not due to the capts lack of effort!). He kept us busy and our hooks baited at all times. We kept a few snapper for dinner which my son really loved Hes intelligent and knows where to fish. Awesome with kids. This is hands down the one to book if youre considering a back bay trip. Thanks again for an awesome day we will be back!

    Awesome Trip, caught tons of snapper!

    Captain JP was awesome and our trip was amazing! We caught several keeper Mangrove snappers, a tarpon that got away & some pinkish. JP fileted our fish perfectly to take to a restaurant for lunch. He was very knowledgeable about the best spots and moved quickly between them so we could make sure to catch a lot and have a lot of action. Would definitely recommend to everyone and will definitely go again ourselves.

    Great trip in windy conditions

    Had a great time fishing with Captain Jon-Paul. Water was really choppy but he and his boat handled it perfectly making the entire trip smooth. My 8 year old loved it and we stayed on the fish the entire time. Probably caught 35-40 fish (primarily snapper) but did get the rush of a Tarpon hitting the line and putting on a show for a second. highly reccommend and will definitely book again with this charter service
