Captain Jason was fantastic! He picked us up right from our resort on Adams Cut. Within about 15 minutes we had the bait bucket full, and another 15 minutes after that we were already on fish. There were two adults and a kid in our group, and he kept us fishing the entire trip. We’ve been on quite a few charters, and you can tell right away when someone truly lives for the water. Jason clearly does. He knows the Florida Keys like it’s his own backyard and takes a lot of pride in showing it to people. We tried to book another trip with him later in the week, but his schedule was already full — word is definitely out that he’s one of the best around. Highly recommend booking with Captain Jason. You won’t regret a single moment. We’ll definitely be back. And yes… we limited out on snapper! 🎣

    Great Day CATCHING FISH!!

    4 Hour Trip • 2 adults

    Really enjoyed our day with the Captain Jason! He had great knowledge and made the experience great for my son and I. Great patience and attitude with my son who was on his first charter fishing trip. Captain J took time to teach him and work with him on equipment and how to get on the fish. He had great fishing spots and he put us on the fish. We caught over 30 fish and they were great size and variety of species. Took home a freezer full of great Yellowtail and snapper. I could not have asked for a better experience for my son on his first trip. Thanks Captain J for a great day! I will call you next time we are in town. Book him now, you won’t regret it!!

    I had an absolutely fantastic fishing trip with Captain Jay on Lock It Up Charter! From the moment we got on the water, Captain Jay's funny, friendly, and attentive personality made the experience enjoyable. He was always cheerful, genuinely happy to be out on the water, and his positive energy was contagious throughout the entire trip. Not only is Captain Jay a great guy to spend the day with, but he's also incredibly knowledgeable. He was more than willing to share his fishing expertise, techniques, and experiences, which made the trip both fun and educational. The fishing action was outstanding. We experienced some incredible topwater action when we ran into schools of yellow jacks and yellowtails. The excitement never stopped! I landed a big barracuda and came agonizingly close to hauling in a giant black grouper that would have been the catch of a lifetime. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better day on the water. In fact, I enjoyed the trip so much that I've already planned repeat trips with Lock It Up Charter next year with my fishing buddies. Oh, one more thing, listen to captain Jay and bring your catch to Lazy Lobster restaurant! They cooked amazing dishes that were delicious and the best that my wife and I had at any restaurants!

    Amazing Adventure with the BEST Captain! Endless Fish in Just 3 Hours!

    3 Hour Reef Trip - 1:00 PM • 2 adults

    Captain Jason gave us the fishing adventure of a lifetime in just 3 hours! We must have caught at least 25 fish, including a 5-foot Nurse Shark and a 25-inch Mutton Snapper, which we ended up frying whole for dinner! We were genuinely shocked by Captain Jason's knowledge regarding the local reefs, local fish, and how to get everyone involved in having fun. The trip was more like 4 hours, and did not feel rushed at all. Even when we got back to the docks, Captain Jason helped clean the fish for us and packed it all up in ziplock bags. Overall, it was an incredible experience, and it was so nice to have a Captain like Jason, who is truly an expert as well as so passionate/excited about having a successful day on the water. 10/10 recommend. I will definitely be re-booking with Captain Jason again soon.

    One of my best days on the water

    8 Hour Trip • 2 adults

    Capt. J is an awesome dude first and foremost. His boat was in great shape, gear was in great shape and he was ready for what we ‘wanted’. wife and I told him we were strictly sport fishing. in passing I mentioned maybe a barracuda and a shark. In less than an hour we were on a huge school of ‘cuda and got 2. We caught tons of other fish, yellowtails, vermillions, ‘aquarium’ fish, etc. Ended the day on 2 bull sharks, 1st was a PB and the 2nd bested it. J is a great conversationalist, excellent in giving details on how to fish the riga and how to fight the fish. Truly was a memorable day with him. We will 1000% book with him again!!

    Best Trip Ever!!

    This was our 3rd fishing charter as a family and the 1st two were epic disasters. My wife really didn’t want to try a 3rd one but so glad we did. Captain Jay was the best! Great personality, very professional, and an absolute joy to be on the water with. My boys are already wanting to book another trip with him. We filled the box with keepers, caught a ton of 2-3’ sharks, attempted to hook a giant baracuda but only managed a small one. Really didnt want to come in but we used up all our bait. Will definitely look to book with Lock It Up the next time we are in Key Largo!!
