Great trip! The captain was hardworking, friendly, and very hospitable. He kept us moving for the fish and made sure everyone had a good time. The refreshments on board were a nice touch, in the heat. Highly recommend this charter if you’re looking for a fun and well-run fishing experience.

I booked a four hour fishing trip for my husband for Father’s Day and he had a blast. Captain Rafa was incredible and very knowledgeable. He really knows his stuff and he knew our surroundings like the back of his hand. With Rafa’s assistance, my husband caught about seven tarpon. He had many fishing lines cast into the water and once a fish was hooked, he’d give the pole to my husband who’d reel it in. Rafa would kneel down and unhook the fish and place it into my husband’s arms for a photo before we tossed it back in. My husband is newly getting into fishing and Rafa had an answer to all of his fishing questions- Rafa knows just about everything when it comes to fishing, so it seems! He was a great captain- friendly, polite, helpful, and all around good company. We’re already tossing the idea around of another fishing adventure with Captain Rafa.

Did the four hour 7am fishing trip with Rafa. He was very personable and is a stand-up guy. Been fishing this lagoon his whole life and knows the waters well. He’s a real pro and expert! He worked tirelessly to catch tarpon — including chumming. We had many many bites but lost a lot of fish. Fortunately, we landed two and had a great time overall. If you’re interested in tarpon fishing near San Juan or Isla Verde, Rafa is the Captain to hire. Would do this trip again in a heartbeat!

Captain Rafa does not disappoint. He is very knowledgeable and his lowkey humor added a good vibe on the boat. Fishing started off quickly, hooked up on a few tarpon including a 4 footer. Snook as well. Fun trip highly recommend Captain Rafa. We will be going back out with him in the future.

Rafa was great. He worked hard to get us on fish. His knowledge of the area and fishing was great and he was awesome with the family. I would fish with him anytime.
I picked Capt. Rafa because his video seemed genuine and he seemed experinced. Both turned out to be true. Fishing was a little slow for all the boats, but my son and I caught fish. And the captain took us to a spot passed over by others and had a trick up his sleeve that yielded a big one in the last few minutes of our 6 hour trip. Experience counts! Thaks for a fun day! Plus he had non-diet coke in his cooler.
