On July 3rd, 2026, my two sons (19 & 23) and I wanted to go shark fishing, and Capt. Nick absolutely delivered.
Over the course of six hours, we caught 11 sharks! We also had two incredible fish get away—but not before giving us stories we’ll be telling for years.
The first was a 6-7 foot Blacktip (or possibly a Spinner) that accidentally took a bait on 30 lb test that was meant for catching smaller bait fish. We fought that shark for 45 minutes before it finally broke the line.
Then came the fish of a lifetime.
As soon as it hit, Capt. Nick said, “This is something huge. I don’t have anything rigged for something like this.” We had no idea what was on the other end. Two of us stayed on the rod the entire time, constantly switching out because we were gettimg tired. Then it surfaced…
An absolutely enormous Tiger Shark. Capt. Nick estimated it at 14-16 feet long. It looked almost as big as the boat! We only got to see it for a minute before it powered away and snapped the line like it was nothing.
I have never seen a shark anywhere close to that size. The massive head, huge dorsal fin, powerful tail, and those unmistakable tiger stripes—it was a true sea monster.
Beyond the incredible fishing, Capt. Nick was knowledgeable and spent the day teaching us how to become better fishermen. The memories my boys and I made on this trip are something we’ll never forget. If you’re thinking about booking a charter, don’t hesitate. Capt.
