Wife and I booked with Capt Rich for a 4 hr trip while in the area for our anniversary. She’s never been on a boat on the ocean and her fishing entails catching a bluegill in a pond back home. Captain Johnson was an amazing captain. He is an easy going captain that let us do what we wanted, as long as it’s within regulation. Capt J. put us on fish, we caught our targets species. We were able to bring our own rod, reels and tackle on the boat. It’s a great feeling to be able to land fish with our personal gear. Captain J boat is really clean and comfortable. Had a fin fishing trip with Cpt Rich. He did a good job at keeping all 4 of us baited up and in the water. unfortunately the fish werent realky biting, we only had 6 keepers, but thats just how fishing goes sometimes. the fot did mive us around 4 or 5 times trying to find the right spot, so he kept trying. fun day!

Rich put us on fish first drop. Hes very easy to talk to and will answer any questions you have. We caught 9 lane snapper, i got sharked and fought the shark for 30 minutes got him to the boat, i also hooked 2 amberjacks but didnt get to see them.
