4 of us went walleye fishing with Captain Dick for 4 hours on Leech Lake at the end of July.  We had been warned that walleyes had been tough for the previous couple of weeks.  That proved to be true.  We had a few hits but only got one in the boat.  Captain Dick was great.  A couple of our group were pretty inexperienced and he worked hard to keep their lines baited and suggested tips as well.  He also pointed out about a half dozen spots on the lake we might like to try fishing for bass... Dick sent me a text the morning before our booked trip, we confirmed details, and set the plan. The morning of, he arrived early, made us feel welcome, and we headed out. A cold front set in, so the fish were not interested in feeding. We marked fish, but alas … just a few pesky perch. At 11:11a we hit our first walleye and then a nice 21.5” about 20mins later. Through all of it, Dick kept working the ridge and kept marking fish. Great guy; great guide. I recommend.

Had a wonderful day fishing for walleye and talking football with Dick. He worked hard to put us on some nice fish and wound up with a limit of nice walleye. After a tough couple of years, this was the kind of day I needed and would highly recommend Dick’s Guide Service.
