half day with Cap Allen
lots of big fish were there, but just not biting that day. That's ok. The fact that he absolutely guaranteed numbers of snook over 40" was ok. It just shows his inexperience and that he's a bit too overboard wit the sales BS. Very likable guy, just youthful cockiness that he didn't not deliver on. An experienced fisherman knows it doesn't always happen. I'm giving Allen a NO because we booked a full day and talked about it. He had us stay at the Wyndham to get an early start the next day. At the last minute he said to meet him at the dock at 4:00 pm! We wasted an unnecessary night at the hotel. When the big fish wouldn't bite the dead mullet that he said they had been eating in previous days, he did not even try the live baits he said he had - not a good ability to mix it up. So, overall - charged me the quoted full day price and gave us a half-day. That's a NO. Oh, he also admitted he took a midnight charter the night before our booked fullday trip. No wonder he pushed us from early AM to late PM. That's totally unreliable.
