We had a great time with Captain Makis. This was one of the most memorable fishing trips I’ve ever been on. We trolled next to the cliffs of Santorini and caught grouper all morning. Afterwards they parked the boat while we swam and they cooked us lunch. This was unlike any fishing trip I’ve ever been on in the United States. You’re not just fishing but you’re getting a day of fishing and being entertained on a boat. The boat is very clean and comfortable and the crew are very friendly. We were all adults in our group but I could see this being a great trip for a family with young kids.

We were on a cruise and had pre scheduled trip with Pirate Fishing Tours.  At the last minute the cruise changed the day we would be in port.  Captain Mikas was able to rearrange the schedule to make the trip work.  They worked hard all day to get us on fish.  He has a beautiful boat that is well kept.    The crew is funny and personable.  They served us delicious food.  I could not ask for anything else from a fishing charter!

This was our first time visiting Santorini and I’m so happy I booked Pirate Fishing Tours. Captain Makis and Eli were incredible. Captain Makis is born and raised in Santorini and known all over the island as the pirate. We could have listened to him talk for hours about his childhood growing up learning the fishing business with his father. Sent out at only 13 years old alone for 6 days on the open water on a small boat. our day was perfect. we caught grouper which he grilled right on the boat for us along with homemade tomato fritters, greek salad, and fresh bread. best meal we had by far! His custom fishing boat was so comfortable and also allowed us to sunbathe on the front tanning deck. we exllored along the volcono and even anchored in a small cove within the volcano to paddle board and swim while they cooked our meal. Of course the scenery was spectacular. We didn’t want our day to end. After only 5 hours we felt like they were family. if we get the chance to visit Santorini again we will definitely be booking Pirate Fishing tours again!

I was raised fishing off the coast of Massachusett, and charter fishing has been a staple of just about every memorable family vacation I’ve ever been on.
Santorini is dope if you like the outdoors (hiking, beaching, etc.), but after three full days, you’ve probably seen most of the island, and if youre looking for something memorable, and low-impact, book this trip with this boat.
Capt. Makis (a fourth generation fisherman of these waters) and 1st Mate llias are top notch fishermen, and make for brilliant company.
The craft is clean, safe, and seaworthy.
This is an ideal trip to take with an older parent, or adolescent (though book a transfer/driver to/from the harbor because the walk is straight up strenuous.
We were lucky enough to catch a beautiful grouper which was later prepared for us on the deck of the boat and served to us for lunch. I was absolutely lovely.
