Speckled Trout and Shark, Nice!

Captain Dan was great. Friendly and engaging. I have a teenage son, and it was so nice to start at 8:30 AM instead of 5 or 6 AM. We still caught several good sized trout and after a few attempts, we landed a black tip (?) shark. Capt Dan was persistent and made sure my son reeled it in. Great trip for this father and son, or truly anybody who doesn’t want to wake up so dang early while on vacation. Highly recommend this charter.

    Captain Dan Rocks!

    This was our first time out with Captain Dan. We had 3 adults and 2 kids on board and he absolutely worked his tail off to put us on fish in less than favorable conditions with heavy winds. The patience that he had for the kids (and us) was more than anyone could ask for. We boxed some nice trout by mid to late morning after moving around to find them, and finished our day in calmer more protected water. Or 12 year old was able to catch her first slot red, and our 8 year old little man got all he wanted with a 3 1/2 foot bull shark that he is still talking about...! Dan far exceeded our expectations, and turned what could've been a coal day into a diamond. Thank you brother, and see you next go around!

    Awesome fishing trip with a side of birding!

    Our family had an amazing fishing trip with Captain Dan this week! He was knowledgable about the best spots to go and didn’t waste time at the ones not biting. He made sure we stayed at it until we limited out on sea trout, but we also were able to catch a variety of other fish too! He did so well with our 9 and 12 year old, helping them both get the most out of the experience too! Then as a bonus, he took us by a couple of spectacular birding spots on the water for me to get some local new species for me on my target list this trip too! Excellent fish guide & made the trip amazing for the whole family! Thanks for everything Captain Dan!

    An Unforgettable Family Adventure with Captain Dan!

    Our family of four had an absolute blast with Captain Dan! He was punctual, incredibly communicative, and remarkably patient with our young anglers, making everyone feel comfortable right from the start. He took us straight to the best spot for trout, and we remarkably caught our limit within the first hour! For the rest of the day, Captain Dan kept the excitement going by taking us to various spots where we caught a wonderful variety of fish. He is incredibly knowledgeable and truly the perfect guide for families. We couldn't have asked for a better day on the water!

    Fish fishing trip in Texas, it was amazing!

    Our trip with Dan was spectacular!! He is very knowledgeable of the fish, and knew exactly where to take us! We caught a variety of fish such as spotted sea trout, lady fish, red drum, ribbon fish, catfish, and even a shark! Needless to say, we got the whole enchilada! Whenever we venture back down to the area, we will be booking with Dan again! If you're thinking about booking, do it!

    Great for young and 1st timers

    Took my 4-year-old out along with my dad and brother for their first trip, and it couldn’t have gone better. The captain handled some strong winds like a pro and kept the ride smooth getting us to each spot. He stayed on the move when the bite slowed down and made sure we stayed on fish. What stood out the most was how great he was with my son—patient, engaged, and made it a fun experience for him. My little one walked off the boat already asking when we’re going again. Great trip all around. Looking forward to the next one.
