Captain Mac will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 6-hour trips, mainly fishing for Redfish, Black Drum, Amberjack, Flounder, Spotted Seatrout, and Sheepshead, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, heavy tackle, and bottom fishing.
Your fishing adventure starts on a 23’ Sea Hunt BX 22BR boat that can safely take up to 5 anglers. This boat comes with a portable toilet, wireless trolling motor, and a livewell. A first mate will also join your trip.
All rods, reels, terminal tackle, live bait, and lures are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license ahead of time. The crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip. The boat will be supplied with drinks for your pleasure, be sure to let the captain know if you have any questions or want to bring your own.

Captain Mac and Firstmate Boomer were awesome!
4 Hour Bay Fishing Trip on June 20, 2025 • 4 adults
Our group of five had a great time with Captain Mac and his firstmate, Boomer his dog, fishing in various spots in the bay, mostly near Ingleside. We were a group of mostly novice fishermen and Captain Mac was patient with us, giving us sound casting advice, frequently re-baiting hooks, untangling lines and generally giving us the best opportunity to catch fish. And catch fish we did, we missed out on the "TX trifecta" as we didn't catch flounder but we did catch Red Drum, Black drum, perch, saltwater catfish, a few perch and even a couple of stingrays! The four hours sailed by quickly! Highly recommend as we had a great time.

I booked a trip with Mac out of the many options available. Mac was very nice and punctual. This was a family trip with my dad and older sister. My dad loves to fish but doesn’t go out much and my sister had never fished off a boat since she was a kid. Mac was great helping my sister understand how everything works. He was quick to replace snagged gear and live bait. We all caught our limit on Red Drum and were heading for other fish before the weather turned. We all had a great time even though we got soaked. I will definitely go out with Mac again when I go back to Texas.

Best Fishing Trip We Have Ever Had

If you are looking for someone to take you fishing Captain Mac and Boomer are the best. We caught so many fish we lost count. We caught Red fish, Speckled Trout, Sand Trout, Sheepshead, Snapper, and more about 8 different species all in 4 hours. Captain Mac was The nicest and friendliest guide we have ever used. We will definitely be booking with him again, likely a 8 hour trip next time.

I purchased this trip for my husband, 7yr old son, and cousin. Captain Mac was very communicative and made sure the guys had a great time. My son loved his first-mate, Boomer! They caught a lot of fish, unfortunately none big enough to keep, so I still had to buy dinner🤪 but they had a great day which was what I was hoping for! Thanks Captain Mac!

Our family 1st fishing trip

It was the most super amazing experience for our family. Mac and Boomer were amazing, so nice and friendly. The boat was clean, roomy, everything we needed for fishing was provided. My wife and I had so much fun enjoying our time together and seeing our daughter learn some fishing tips from Mac was the best. While out on the water we saw so many dolphins, it was a sight to see. We caught many fishes and plan to to go back down and book another trip with Mac and Boomer.
