Captain Mac will do his best to make sure you have a fun day full of fishing. This involves 6-hour trips, mainly fishing for Redfish, Black Drum, Amberjack, Flounder, Spotted Seatrout, and Sheepshead, depending on the season and conditions on the day. On these trips, you can expect to use techniques such as light tackle, heavy tackle, and bottom fishing.

Your fishing adventure starts on a 23' Sea Hunt BX 22BR boat that can safely take up to 5 anglers. This boat comes with a portable toilet, wireless trolling motor, and a livewell. A first mate will also join your trip.

All rods, reels, terminal tackle, live bait, and lures are included in the price so you can focus on what really matters, fishing. Please make sure to buy a valid fishing license ahead of time. The crew will clean and fillet your catch for you to take home at the end of the trip. The boat will be supplied with drinks for your pleasure, be sure to let the captain know if you have any questions or want to bring your own.

Captain Mac and Firstmate Boomer were awesome!

4 Hour Bay Fishing Trip on June 20, 2025 • 4 adults

Our group of five had a great time with Captain Mac and his firstmate, Boomer his dog, fishing in various spots in the bay, mostly near Ingleside. We were a group of mostly novice fishermen and Captain Mac was patient with us, giving us sound casting advice, frequently re-baiting hooks, untangling lines and generally giving us the best opportunity to catch fish. And catch fish we did, we missed out on the "TX trifecta" as we didn't catch flounder but we did catch Red Drum, Black drum, perch, saltwater catfish, a few perch and even a couple of stingrays! The four hours sailed by quickly! Highly recommend as we had a great time.

Captain Mac was great and very accommodating. He knew where to go for fish and he was joking and cutting up with the guys. He was really interactive and was giving us tips and tricks. I got really sea sick and the port-a-potty on the boat was a life saver. We caught tons of fish all day and caught 6 we were able to take home. I would definitely book with him again.

I booked this trip for a fun day on a return trip to port A. Captain Mac and his dog Boomer was the cherry on top of a great day fishing. We caught various species of fish. He was knowledgeable and cleaned the fish for us to cook up and eat that night. Will be booking again with him in the future. Thank you for a great day!
