We booked a 5-hour charter on Soolyman’s 38-foot Yellowfin 3. Fishing Booker made setting up the trip very easy. Captain Jay and his First Mate were very professional and made our trip one to remember. Target species was Mahi-Mahi and Captain Jay came through! There were 7 of us in our group and all of us were able to land a fish. Overall outstanding experience. Will definitely be back!

This is real sportfishing! The crew is super experienced, totally prepared, with top-notch fishing equipment, and worked hard to make sure we caught as much as possible - they moved around, tried different spots, and did everything they could to get us on fish. Our group had a mix of skill levels, and they made the trip fun for everyone. We’ve tried a few charters around the Emirates, and Soolyman is easily the best so far. We had an excellent captain and a very good boat. The crew were respectful, attentive, and genuinely did everything they could to make the trip successful. Unfortunately, the fishing conditions just weren’t on our side that day. The only fish we managed to catch was while trolling; we didn’t get anything on the rods. We completely understand your disappointment regarding the fishing results, especially when fishing with children and hoping for more action. Unfortunately, fishing conditions can vary significantly from day to day, and despite our crew’s best efforts to adapt tactics and fish the most productive areas available, nature doesn’t always co-operate!

Our captain’s approach that day was based on the conditions and recent activity in the area, using a combination of trolling and fishing around structure to give the best possible chance of success. Whilst it didn’t produce the results we had hoped for, we appreciate your recognition that the crew did everything that they could.

Thank you for joining us, and we hope that you will consider giving us another opportunity in the future under more favourable conditions.

This is perhaps my tenth time fishing with the Soolyman crew since 2016. Since it’s early April and the Mahi are not yet fully active, we focused on Tuna and Jacks but managed to also land a nice Mahi to kick off the summer season. Had part of our catch prepared at the local marina and the rest packaged up to take home to Dubai. Will be back soon :) 🐟
