6 hour trip with captain dave

3/4 Day Trip2 adults

Spent 1000 for a 6 hour trip, we caught 4 spade fish, captain tried to move us to another spot too tight to fit to get a personal fisher away from their other boat, ended up sucking up someone else's anchor line and had to cut our anchor which meant no more spade fishing for us. Went trolling and caught one Spanish macaral. Being charter captains ourselves, we were very disappointed by our trip and the fact that the captain didn't discount us or refuse our tip. Captain / first mate Shawn was awesome. Maybe he should of drove.

Hi Tracie. It was a tough day. Saturday is not the best day to go out for Spadefish. There are only a few spots you can get on for good fishing and everybody with a boat is out there on Saturday. I think Dave took a little extra risk to get you on the right spot and got his anchor tangled with another boater. A captain who didn't care would not have taken that risk to get you on some fish and would have just stayed where you were. Dave is an awesome captain and a great guy who had a bad trip. They smoke the spades most everytime they go. I wished your trip would have went better. Thanks again!

    great family trip

    My family and I went on a four hour morning fishing trip. the captain The first mate in the boat were all great. I couldn't ask for anything better. The captain was very knowledgeable and explained stuff.The whole time we were fishing\nHe worked with my family to give us the best experience we could have hoped for the first The captain was very knowledgeable and explained stuff. I liked the fact that he allowed my kids to be included on pulling the fish in and some other things. The morning started off slow, but the captain took us to a different location.And we started catching fish after fish after fish must have been total of twenty give or take by the time was all said and done , and then the first mate even filled the fish for us. Overall, the trip was great.It was fun , very enjoyable , and I would definitely do it again

    Amazing fishing experience!

    Sons 13th Birthday Gift!

    3/4 Day Trip • 8 adults • 2 children

    The overall trip was great. We had a group of 10 people. 5 Children (13, 12, 11, 11 and 6) and 5 adults. We arrived and the mate (Kyle) and the Captian (Chris) were extremely nice, educational, and all about our experience. We trolled for spanish mackrel and immediately very successful. Had some overcast, so it was difficult for Cobia sight fishing. The boat had AC and some shaded seating to get out of the heat, bluetooth for music and a bathroom! We would book again! Ask for Kyle and Chris!

    A trying day

    3/4 Day Trip • 10 adults

    Over the course of 6 hours we only caught 3 fish. To say the trip was uneventful is an understatement lol. What I will say is the Captain and the First mate did everything in their power to find the fish. So much so that other boats were following them in desperation to also catch a few fish. Somedays the fish just aren't biting, but the crew and the amenities on the boat made it a great day to laugh and joke with friends. If your looking for a good solid trip 10/10 I would recommend this charter. Great crew, very reasonable price, and the boat is big enough to have a few people and not feel crowded.

    Hey Thomas. Thanks for the kind review. A trying day is correct. You were top boat. Ten other boats had the same results. I know Chris went as far as 12 miles out looking. Our other boat never had a bite. It was not a good day for fishing. You guys were a great group and we really wanted to produce for you. I hope we get a chance to try again for you guys.     Was a amazing time. Captian knew where the fish were, and kept us on them. Kids cught most of the fish, and one of the biggest Mackerels i have seen. hauled in 24 Mackerels and good amount of blues also. The deck hand, was amazing, very knowledgeable and knew his stuff, made it very relaxing trip, and made wvegrone feel welcome. will be using them again for more fishing and for the bug ones next time.
