Fishing with Skip
Very nice captain who was upfront regarding expectations so no blame to the captain or his beautiful boat. Just found this short trip to be a choppy experience... perhaps a longer trip 6 or 8 hours. Family had a good time.
Well John, you were pretty persistent about going Striper fishing to catch your 28” to less than 35” slot Striper which I mentioned numerous times up front would be a hard target to fish in 4 hrs, you stated you didn’t want to bottom fish. We went to two prime Striper spots in the Vineyard Sound, one we trolled and the other we had to cast but you would have to admit that casting was not your strong point. That left me an hour to take you bottom fishing to put fish in the boat and your daughter caught over 10 fish in that period of time including the picture attached which was a 18+” Fluke. Prior to this trip I asked you numerous times if you wanted to cancel because I wasn’t sure I could meet your expectations of a keeper slot Striper Bass. You rejected multiple times and insisted on taking the trip, I knew this would come back and haunt me. I’m in the business of making people happy and even stayed out a half hour longer and fillet your fish which still seem to not satisfy you. It was appreciated that your wife and daughter told me they enjoyed the trip. This is my business, which I take very serious And you are the first person not to give me 5 stars which is upsetting and in retrospect I should have cancelled the trip. I did everything in my power to make you happy, but unless you caught your 28” to less than 35” Striper No one would meet that goal. Fisherman know fisherman, and their respectful expectations. Most people would have loved to catch this fluke.
