To all, please know this was a gift to my father for fathers day, and the following was how we were treated.
Showed up to the boat dock to find out we have been switched from the main boat “A & B” to another boat “Alabama”. When I ask to see the captain to figure out what was going on, I was told my group and I were assigned to a different boat with the attitude of “sit down and shut up”.
Never told ahead of time, no notice, nothing, just “surprise” so I loved the attitude I received when I tried to figure out what was going on. Off to a great start.
I was later told the excuse that another group already got on the boat, and “there was nothing they can do”. I have tried writing the captain to express how bad the organization was for this trip, and how little was produced from the fishing trip.
All to be told, with sarcasm, that its not their problem and that I have unrealistic expectations. I guess the photos they post are just setting the bar too high. How dare I.
Fun fact, if you want to catch anything worth the effort, better book the full trip, because apparently you are not going to catch much of anything on a half day. Once again, had no idea, was told this AFTER the trip by the Captain himself.
See the pictures I posted? that’s right, I don’t have any, because we didn’t catch anything worth the effort to even take a picture.
So if you are looking to fill that aquarium you have at home, this charter is for you. They will have that tank filled in to time. We saw bigger fish at the dock then we did the entire time on that charter.
Overall just felt scammed out of money. Capt. Allen is extremely rude and uncaring.
Take your money to Lucky Strike or Reel Funds Fishing Charters, Had a great experience with them, No bait and switch, no false statements, and no lies. And if they ever did act like Capt. Allen did in handling this, they would most certainly do everything they can to make it right.
Words cannot describe how bad this trip was. This was a gift to my Father, who has done so much for my family over the years. And I truly made the mistake of putting the trust into A and B charters. After spending $1,000.00 (don’t forget to tip). I am now in the process of trying to figure out how to make it up to him.
