My second Big Game fishing trip, first Islmerada now Madiera, I can only afford to do this once a year,
OK Lara Jade, well maintained, well equiped even clean toilets for madame, enthusiastic captain who gets stuck into the fishing.

Net result My first Marlin Brillaint! now it is the boat that catches the fish not me, I just crank the handle. Sorry no pics, still processing the video.

Now the boat is tag and release so my Marlin is still swimming around in the atlantic hopefully scoffing sardines. I don’t know how much he weighed but he was bigger than me.

Now we were the only boat in Funchal to catch a Marlin that day, remember that this is fishing and a blank is always possible, the boat is equipped to fish deep if you need to recover honour in the last two hours of the trip you can still pull up some fish.

My rating is influenced by the fact that we didn’t get near any tuna after 7 hours trawling, very disappointing

Boat and Crew were very good communication and directions great they were ready and waiting to welcome us on board and very friendly. Weather was a bit lumpy and we were disappointed we did not catch but they tried very hard and different grounds we were out of season and that is fishing for you. We would be happy to recommend to others and we will try them again hopefully in the summer
