First and foremost, we never touched a 26’ Boat. If it’s 25 call it that, but there is a difference. When your brother is green from throwing up for 2 hrs and I as the paying customer tell you to dock, yet you try to fish 3 more spots while I am telling you go to the dock asap, do it. Jon, for starters your review is completely false and inaccurate. First off, you booked a “4 hour catch and release trip” which was clearly stated in the trip TITLE. From the start you were very rude and belligerent to my deckhand and I. Honestly, I should have never left the dock with you on the boat but I didn’t want to disappoint the 2 civil people in your party. You were upset that you carelessly booked a catch and release trip and demanded that I let y’all keep fish, despite you paying the cheaper catch and release rate. You never once asked if you could keep fish, you told me I had to. Despite all this extreme rudeness on your part we still did our best to put you on keeper fish and we came back with 3 nice flounder. We would have came back with a lot more but unfortunately you weren’t teachable and kept yanking circle hooks out of fishs’ mouths while smacking my rods against the tee top, this is part of why everyone else on the boat caught more fish than you and had fun. Your brother got sick almost 3 hours into a 4 hour trip, as soon as he said he wanted to go back we reeled up and started heading home.(he was paying for the trip too but still wanted to make the most of it and fish, I offered to go back much sooner than he requested but ,YOU JON, said not to go back and that YOU wanted to keep fishing, while at the same time you shouted at your brother to stop being a p&$$#. On the way back you got your cigarette and alcohol breath directly in my face and DEMANDED I troll on the way home. I politely obliged and we slowed down to a 5 knot trolling speed and then your brother said he was feeling better and wanted to try 1 more flounder spot which we reached by trolling 10 minutes later like YOU requested. As for my fishing boat, it is 25 ft 6 inches from bow to transom and 29 ft. in overall length, so yes we call it 26 ft. On top of all of this you had every opportunity to voice these “issues” politely to me face to face but you chose instead to be a coward and burn me with a false review. I hope on your next charter you show up to the boat sober and show the captain and crew more respect. I promise that if you do you will have a much better experience. Just look at the reviews on this page, we are clearly not the problem. Finally, belligerent and disrespectful clients will never have our support. Sometimes you have to think about other people besides yourself, which is what we specialize in here at 850 Charters. I’m not a big believer in therapy but I’d be willing to go into my own pocket to cover your copay.
