Half Day Trip – Salmon only AM2 adults

Captain, mate, and boat were very good. Unfortunately, neither the salmon nor the rock fish were biting. I would recommend not advertising salmon fishing this early. It would be better to start advertising this kind of trip In early to mid June. Captain cautioned us that King Salmon was spotty and then only catch and release. We were on a land tour after the fishing trip so we took a chance.

Our King Salmon run is April to June 1, a area near Juneau, Taku Inlet, has reported low returns for Kings over the last few years, Alaska Fish and Game changes the the rules every year and when we are not allowed to catch and retain Kings until June 14, this year 2022 and our Hatcher restricts its Kings until June 1 the month of May is the only choice which is normally good fishing with over 100 different spices of rock fish. If the restrictions were permanent then we would not publish that we offer Salmon fishing until mid June. The month of May is our slowest time with June fishing picking up and our high season July and August. We basically have two months to fish.

    Best Halibut Fishing!

    Half Day Trip – Halibut (PM) • 3 adults

    We had such an awesome and successful halibut fishing experience with Captain Jon and Landon! We chose an afternoon half day trip since our cruise ship didn’t dock until 9 am, and most morning/full day trips started at 8 am. Captain Jon took us to a great spot in Auke Bay, and as soon as we cast our lines, everyone on our boat immediately hooked on halibut, which kept happening every cast until we caught our keepers. With time left on the charter, we moved spots and started fishing for rockfish. In addition to fishing, Captain Joh stopped for us to see some local sea lions and humpback whales, which were on our route to our second fishing spot and back to the dock. The water was also relatively calm in the bay. My wife is prone to motion sickness even in the calmest of water, but didn’t have any issues. Overall an awesome experience and would definitely book this trip again in the future!

    Great experience all around

    Half Day Trip – Halibut AM) • 4 adults

    We have chartered fished in Florida, Lake Erie, Cabo and a couple other places over the years. This Alaska fishing trip was BY FAR our best experience. The communication from the day I made the reservation until the trip was completed was first class. Our captain was amazing. We got our limit of Halibut within the 1st hour. With our extra time we saw whales, seals, harbor porpoises and eagles. We also picked up 7 Rockfish. I highly recommend Fishing Booker

    Awesome and memorable Trip!

    We ended up with the best Whale watch and Salmon catching trip we could ask for! we had over 20 whales “bubble fishing/netting” within 50 yards of us… they just kept getting closer and closer to us and were able to catch some great videos! even caught some Cohos and pink salmon! overall awesome trip and would absolutely recommend!!! The Captain and Levi were GREAT!!!

    Excellent captain and crew

    Full Day Trip – Halibut and Salmon • 6 adults

    We went after salmon first. Caught a shaker king and a couple of legal salmon. Moved on to halibut and rock fish which we limited out in by noon. Back to salmon all afternoon with no results. Didn’t see any other boats with fish either. Lots of whales some bubble feeding. Great food and coffee provided with donuts

    Fishing Trip Turned Whale Watching Tour

    Half Day trip Salmon only PM • 4 adults

    Didn’t catch any fish, but it is a little before the season. However, we saw a Humpback Whale and several Orcas. We got pretty close and got some great videos. Also got to see some eagles feeding, which was fun. Captain Terry and Dillon were great. Very personable and interesting to talk to. We had a great time.
