Great first deep sea experience with Atlantic Spray Charters! Captain Sloan was a Wahoo wizard and Johnny helped us handle the poles and fish. We trolled for a while and stopped to chum the water for tuna. Captain Sloan even let us stay out an extra hour since we were getting so many bites! We didn’t just catch Wahoo, nabbed tuna and rainbow runner as well. A+ experience, will be back again!

After some 20 trips with deep sea fishing boats in Bermuda, Islamorada, The Keys, and Great Lakes over the past 25 years, I’m used to keeping our own catch and maybe sharing something with your captain when it’s over - at your own discretion and esp if there was a lot of fish caught. Instead, the captain of this trip took most of the fish and all of the large rock fish we caught. If you want to keep your own catch, I recommend going elsewhere.

Basically they were fishing for themselves. Huge waves with young boys. Zero fish. Disaster.

For this charter we advised the guests that the wahoos were not biting and that we should try for other species. However one young boy was adamant that he wanted to fish for wahoo so we did what they wanted with no results. If we were fishing for ourselves we would not of gone wahoo fishing when we knew there were no wahoos biting. And we cannot control the weather.
