Great experience. Jim is so knowledgeable and a great person to hang out with (so I’m told). I bought this for my boyfriend and his dad for a birthday gift. The rest of this review is based off of their experience:

They say “there’s a difference between a normal fisherman and an experienced fisherman and Jim is an experienced one”.  Thought he was incredibly helpful and funny. He made it easy and fun. Thank you, Jim for this lifetime memory. We will always recommend you and be back soon for more fishing!

The weather was perfect for steelhead, snow, sleet, rain and wind. I was so excited for this trip with my son in law and grandson and looked forward to an amazing day.
Unfortunately the power companies decided to do an unpublicized increase in water flows. It was substantial and certainly changed the prospects for the day. However Jim worked diligently to get us on something to save our day.  With lots of effort he managed to scratch up a couple of beautiful springer chinook. One was wild so we set her free and the other was 13lbs….yes baby!!

We were very grateful for his efforts and came home exhausted and satisfied we had given our all. I plan to book again with Jim for something a bit slower paced…I want a one on one in his drift boat on his favorite river.

This trip was a ton of fun and I got my limit!! Captain Jim is a great teacher and he knew how to put us on the fish. We caught quite a few small ones and landed a few HUGE (to me) fish. The steelhead up here fight harder than what I’m used to and it was totally exhilarating! The boat is very spacious & there are several nice features on it. I enjoyed catching fish & learning. The captain is also pretty cool. I highly recommend this guide service.

Captain Miller was a great guide and instructor. He was very patient with us (I’m very much a novice to river fishing) and made sure we had every opportunity to catch a fish. We, unfortunately, were unlucky and didn’t bring in any keepers, but we had a good time nonetheless. I would definitely go on this trip again with Capt. Miller.
