Overall

We expected there to be more action as far as fish hits/catches. Mike and Clay were excellent and did what they could do as far as putting us on the fish but this being our first chapter in VA I guess we were expecting more or maybe too early in the season. We caught a couple nice size fish that were a species that we hadn’t landed before. Maybe next time we will plan an afternoon trip or just bite the bullet and pay for an offshore trip. The boat was a nice vessel and very clean. Thanks.

Hi Stephen. Thanks for the feedback and the nice words about our crew and the boat. As for the fishing, I contacted you when you booked the trip and explained it is a slower time of year here. A gave you the option not to go if you were concerned about the fishing. You said you were most interested in spending some time with your kids. Turns out, you did much better than I was expecting. You guys caught 2 really nice cobia, a trophy bull red drum and quite a few mackerel. That was a pretty good day by anyone’s standards in Va Beach in May. We really appreciate your business and hope to take you guys again sometime. I just wanted to point out that we caught some nice fish (see pics). Good luck fishing!

Over the course of 6 hours we only caught 3 fish. To say the trip was uneventful is an understatement lol. What I will say is the Captain and the First mate did everything in their power to find the fish. So much so that other boats were following them in desperation to also catch a few fish. Somedays the fish just aren’t biting, but the crew and the amenities on the boat made it a great day to laugh and joke with friends. Hey Thomas. Thanks for the kind review. A trying day is correct. You were top boat. Ten other boats had the same results. I know Chris went as far as 12 miles out looking. Our other boat never had a bite. It was not a good day for fishing. You guys were a great group and we really wanted to produce for you. I hope we get a chance to try again for you guys. This trip was awesome for the beginning of the fishing season. We got on blues and spanish mackerel. The captain and mate were awesome, very friendly and knowledgeable of what they do. They interacted with us and made the trip much more enjoyable. We definitely will be setting up another trip with them.
