I had a window of weather and time off that I wanted to take advantage of. I called Capt Lou and I was thrilled to find out he had the day available. I've fished with Capt Lou for many years now, but this trip was special. As it was just me and the Captain. My fishing buddys were unable to join me, so I decided to book the trip anyway. We left the dock approx 7am and steamed out of the harbor to a chilly cloudy morning. By the time we reached The Point, the skies were clearing and the wind had settled. Birds were working overhead diving into the schools of baitfish and pointing us in the direction of our catch. I was so excited when Captain Lou decided to join me out on the deck. He even expressed "how awesome it was to finally bend a rod" after a long summer of teaching and watching others. We had a blast. I lost count of the # of striped bass we caught. All released I might add, however, I did keep one for the table.
