Didn’t catch anything as we trolled inshore. Boat was fine but the crew could have communicated more. Long four hours when you don’t catch anything. Bring your own drinks, snacks, and music if that will help your day.

We signed up for a half day trip to catch enough tuna and dolphine fish (mahi mahi) to make a very tasty lunch. Mission Accomplished!!! What made the trip even better was the chance to reel in a 9 ft Sailfish. it was fun watching my kids excitement as they fought with the fish. The captin did an excelent job making sure the boat was always positioned at the best angle to fight the fish and the Co-captin did a wonderful job directign and helping my sons manage the rod. This fishing trip was completly different from our fishing trips in the gulf of mexico and we loved it! It was nice to have the one-on-one attention instead of trying to compete against the other 20 people fishing on the boat (as experienced in the gulf of mexico). Will definatly do it again the next time we are in costa rica.
Had an amazing time on this fishing trip! The whole experience was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. We caught few fish, which made it exciting, but the best part was seeing how much fun my boys had—it made the trip truly special. To top it off, we had an incredible dolphin show toward the end that was completely unexpected and unforgettable. Watching them up close was a perfect way to wrap up the day. Highly recommend this trip for families—great fishing, great memories, and an experience we’ll definitely be talking about for a long time!
We booked a half-day fishing trip with Fishing Booker and overall had a really good experience. We were two couples and managed to catch 6 snappers and 1 needlefish, so it was definitely a fun and productive outing. Gabriel and José were very attentive and clearly knowledgeable they made sure we were comfortable throughout the trip and were always willing to help and guide us. The only thing missing was catching a roosterfish, which we were really hoping for but we know that’s part of fishing and just gives us a reason to come back! All in all, a very enjoyable experience and a great way to spend the morning. Would definitely recommend it and try again next time.
This was the first of two different Charter Boat Fishing tripa I booked for myself and my 21 year old daughter. It was an all around excellent trip. Never fishes in Costa Rica. Very different than expected but no disappointments. Not knowing what to expect, we stayed relatively close to shore but we in 35-50 foot depths. Slow trolling. I would have thought we would have done more casting but that wasn’t the case. It was more like deep sea fishing where they mate used live bait and set a few rods as we slowly trolled. Don’t let that be discouraging as we hooked a 4 lb Yellow Tail Snapper quickly. Then a 5+ lb Snook and bigger Jack. About 90 minutes in I landed a 18-20lb Snook. Great day and delicious eating Snapper and Snook. Definitely would recommed going out as early as possible.
I have had a dream for more than thirty years to come to Costa Rica and catch a Rooster fish. I have been fishing for more than fifty five years,and have fished all over the world, north to south,east to west and have caught from Marlin to sardines. The last fish on my bucket list was a Rooster. I brought my wife, my sister who is also fishing crazy as well as my brother inlaw with on this trip. I booked with Gabriel hoping for that magic to happen. We were picked up at 7.0am and went out for a day of inshore fishing specifically targeting Roosters. Less than an hour into the trip, my first ever Rooster was landed. We went on to land a total of three Roosters for the trip. Gabriel and the crew were absolute professionals in all aspects, the live bait was of the best quality as well as the boat and tackle. We were the only ones to catch on the day and landed three fish for three bites. Goes to prove how good the guys are. I don't easily recommend anybody for any reason, however I absolutely recommend Gabriel to anyone who has a dream like I had.
