Sam and his boy, Caleb are great. Not a lot of bsโn or messing around. These boys are trying to catch fish! That said, he treated us great. Easy going and friendly. We had a great time. Caught nice walleye, junk sheepshead (fun to reel in) and 1 catfish. 2 dollar per fish cleaning fee was reasonable.
We had an afternoon trip planned but the weather was looking bad later in the day so Captain Sam worked with us and moved us up to the morning slot. Probably better fishing and less worry. Great boat but not a whole lot of accommodations for ladies to use the restroom. But it wasnโt an issue for us. Just plan accordingly!ย If your from anywhere in the country and considering a sweet like no other walleye experience. Then book a Lake Erie trip, you wonโt regret it.

What a unbelievable day on lake erie, with captain porkchop and his firstmate, ( son) 6 limits of walleye, in about 1 hr! Non stop action! This is the third time, ive been out with this guy, everytime,ย we got our limits! If your looking for a great time, out on beautiful lake erie. I highly recommend PORK CHOP EXPRESS CHARTERS! Mr Porkchop (Sam) fished hard all Day to get us on the Eyes. Ended up with 10 Fish and Memories that will last forever. Listening to his instruction will put more fish in the boat.ย Boat was very comfortable and capable with 300hp Yammy.ย Make sure you take Sun Protection & Dramamine and donโt be Late. Heโs an efficient Operation.

Captain Sam did a great job. The fish were not cooperating but we were pleased with what we did catch and still enjoyed the time on the water. The Captain did everything for us including setting up the poles, tackle, cleaning our fish and even taking our picture. It is a one-stop shopโexactly what we were looking for. The trip was very kid and beginner fisherman friendly. We will definitely consider Pork Chop Express again in the future and will recommend to our friends.
