Backwater Brilliance

4 Hour Trip – Backcountry Trip (PM)1 adult

I recently had knee surgery so I wasn't sure if I'd be able to enjoy my annual fishing trip while visiting the Keys. Fortunately for me, I arranged my trip with Captain Eric Scoble, from Blackwater Charters and he not only put us on a lot of fish, but also took into consideration the situation with my knee, which made the trip possible and enjoyable. The weather was warm and breezy and our backwater fishing was busy as I spent most of my time reeling in sea trout, red fish and snook. When I wasn't busy catching fish, I was taking in the sights inlcuding some up close encounters with manatees, dolphins, flamingos and even a bull shark that pilfered one of my large snooks. It was an overall great day of fishing and being out on the water. I'm already looking forward to retuning next time for another excursion with Captain Eric.

    amazing trip

    6 Hour Trip – Backcountry Trip • 2 adults

    My 14 yr old son and I caught our quota of Trout in the first hour. That allowed the captain to open up options on where to go and how to fish. We caught probably 20 fish in 6 hours including a lemon shark my son hooked. This was the most productive fishing charter I have booked so far. I would book with this boat again if the opportunity arises.

    Eric worked diligently to find bait and put us on fish. Although we didn’t catch a bunch, we managed several species including my first snook. We were pleased. He was quick to retie and rebait, always making sure we had fresh bait. Easy to get along with, we talked life, fishing, and gave us some great recommendations for local food. We chose Capt Craig’s, Eric, and the blackened shrimp and fish dip were superb. I would have no issue returning to use this charter again.

    Bad weather.. great fishing!

    Capt. Eric put us on fish right away. A storm rolled in and we had to end the day early. The time we had on the water was amazing. Capt. Eric put us on the fish and it was the best fishing we’ve had during our trip to Key Largo. You want this guy to take you fishing!

    Great couple of hours catching Sharks

    2 Hour Trip – Inshore (PM) • 4 adults

    Highly recommend Eric and his son Dillon. We booked a short trip for the family to target sharks and it delivered. Dillon was really knowledgable and super friendly/helpful. Wish we had longer - would go again!
