Good time on “Our Mary”

Full Day Trip - Shared1 adult

Had a good fishing day trip with “Our Mary” and the excellent captain Jose and his companion. Great sunny day on the sea and we caught a dozen small fish by bottom fishing. Lunch, water, soft drinks and beer as you want. Also saw a school of dolphins during the trip and enjoyed great views from the sea towards Madeira.

    Big Game Experience

    Half Day Trip (PM) - Shared • 1 adult

    Captain José and his crew make for a great experience fishng on the water. Altough we didnt bring the Big One home we had great half day trip on water. The second tour of my trip with this crew. With his full service package and a super fiendly and optimistic demeanor, a trip with "our Mary" is a must. We saw some dolphins, a whale blow out and other wildlife. If you want a guaranteed catch, Captain José will take you ground fishing where everyone goes home a winner. Only the trophy sized tuna and marlin cant be guaraneed. But with this crew you get a fair shot at catching them.

    Great day at the sea

    We had a fantastic day at sea with the captain and crew. Although we didn’t land any deep-sea tuna this time (which is part of the sport), the experience was outstanding from start to finish. When we switched to bottom fishing, the action really picked up and we caught an impressive number of triggerfish, which made the day even more exciting. The captain and crew were extremely professional, helpful, and patient — especially as I was fishing together with my son. They explained everything clearly, guided us through the techniques, and made sure we felt confident and involved throughout the trip. The weather changed during the day, but we felt completely safe at all times. The crew’s experience was obvious — they handled the conditions calmly and professionally and brought us back to the harbor safely and smoothly. Beyond the fishing, the scenery along the way was beautiful and made the whole trip even more memorable. It was a day full of action, learning, and great moments together. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a well-run, professional, and enjoyable fishing experience.

    Good trip with a catch

    The captain and the crew and the boat and echipament is great 5/5, BUT it is a shared trip so if the others want only big game fishing, you will have to accept it, and honestly big game fishing can be boring and you don't really catch a lot, it's better to mix it with bottom fishing, but if the others don't want it, you have to accept it, this is the trade off that you have to take into consideration.

    Hi Mr Gergö, thanks for the positive review. Good to know you enjoyed the trip in general! Yes sometimes Big Game fishing is not always catching a lot of quantity of fish, it might be more the sizes of the catch, like 1, 2 or 3 but in a large size scale around average 300 / 400 kg or more. It also depends on the luck of the day. Maybe joining a group that does a mixed trip half Big game and half bottom could be an option, or going for a private tour, then you can do the trip as you prefer.     We didn’t catch anything but we knew that was a probability so not disappointed as had a good day, captain Jose dished up a cracking spread as well.
